| CANADA'S CEREBRAL PALSY TEAM FINISHES THIRD IN LANGLEY |
Canada's men's cerebral palsy team wrapped up its second camp of the 2008 season, this one coinciding with the 2008 Canada Football Seven-a-side Invitational in Langley, BC. Canada posted a 2-0-2 record and finished third in the four-team pool.

More Details
"This was a good tournament with a high quality of competition," says coach Drew Ferguson. "This is just what the Canadian team needs. We can train until we drop dead, but we need quality games like we got at this event."
The 2008 Canada Football Seven-a-side International featured four top-12 teams. Canada and Australia finished 12th and 11th at the 2007 CPISRA Football Seven-a-side World Championship while Argentina finished 9th and Russia finished first. At the four-team 2008 tournament, Russia finished first with a perfect record while Argentina finished second with a 2-0-2 record (both losses to Russia). Canada finished third and Australia finished fourth.
Along with the opportunity to take part in four international friendly matches, Canada also had the chance to add a couple of names to its player pool. Of note, newcomer Cameron Kleimeer was a standout goalkeeper in the tournament.
Canada's next camp is expected to take place in Toronto in July.
