| POWERHOUSE SURREY UNITED WOMEN CLAIM FIFTH STRAIGHT VICTORY |
 The Surrey United Premier Women defeated Westside FC 3-1 in overtime to win the open womens division at the Senior Provincial Championships in Chilliwack, Saturday May 10th. The Surrey women will now move on to compete in the Senior National Championships in St. John's Newfoundland in October. On the mens side, it was an Island sweep.

In the Mens Open category, Gorge FC defeated Sporting Club 1-0 in a hard fought match, and will now also move on to compete at National Championships.
In the U21 division, the NCUSC Elite pounced the Semiahmoo Spirit 5-2, while Cowichan beat the Poco City Rovers 2-0.
In the over 35 divisions (Masters and Classics), UVIC Alumni conquered the Surrey Rangers 2-1 in a dramatic match that featured two ejections on the Surrey side. Meanwhile the Meraloma women hung on to ovecome Gorge 2-1 in the final match of the day. This is the second consecutive year the Meraloma women have claimed the Senior Classic Championships.

(Vancouver, BC) With 12 teams, and over 300 participants, the British Columbia Soccer Association’s Senior Provincial Championships showcase the province’s top amateur adult club teams. The one day competition, taking place at Townsend Park and Exhibition Stadium in Chilliwack, consists of six categories: men and women, Under 21 and Open, and over 35 (Masters and Classics).Exhibition Park

The Provincial Champions in the open category for both men and women will move on to compete in the Senior National Championships in St John’s, Newfoundland on October 8th- 13th.
Admission is by donation, ($2 minimum suggested) and all proceeds will go towards Chilliwack High School Soccer.
