The British Columbia Soccer Association (“BCSA”) as the body responsible for promoting the game of soccer in the Province is eager to provide guidance on issues common amongst our membership. One such issue is the practice of members hiring and paying coaches. We have set out a summary of the position of the BCSA on the matter of paid coaches and an outline of the issues to be considered by members when hiring paid coaches.
The British Columbia Soccer Association is proud to award scholarships every year to players proceeding on to post secondary education. The Scholarships are awarded at a special Scholarship Luncheon at the British Columbia Soccer Association's Annual General Meeting being held in June each year.
The BC Soccer Association and the Vancouver Whitecaps are pleased to announce that the feedback received from the soccer community has led these two partners to decide to move forward on the BCSA/Whitecaps proposal as presented on January 31st, 2007 in the best interest of refining the existing player development model.
