We are excited to announce that grants are now available for U12 Soccer Festivals throughout the province of BC. These festivals will help promote and develop soccer at the grassroots level.
Mini soccer is an internationally recognized youth development program targeted at children under the age of 12. The purpose is to introduce the sport through a fun-filled event for children, coaches and their parents. The actual “Mini Soccer” game takes places on a smaller field using smaller versions of balls, goals, and simplified rules.
The assistance of grants and promotional aids (website, magazine, etc.) from the British Columbia Soccer Association and their partners are designed to help you run the festival event in your own community. Many districts or clubs hold a festival as their annual season opener or year-end jamboree. U12 soccer rules and regulations were put together with an emphasis on fun, participation and good sportsmanship.

The deadline to submit applications is no later than two months prior to your event, however we recommend that you apply as early as possible as there are a limited number of grants available per region per year. The amount of each grant for the 2008/09 season is $1500.00. We are accepting grant applications immediately.
