2008-2009 CORE FUNDING & ATHLETE ASSISTANCE

$4 Million of Annual Core Funding is granted by Sport BC & 2010 Legacies Now to over 64 Provincial Sport Organizations.  BC Soccer uses the $214k in Core Funding and $28k in Athlete Assistance for long-term athlete development.  Notably, BC Soccer has over 100,000 youth players, which make up over 80% of the membership.

2006-2007 GAMING FUNDING
 
$143.5 Million of Annual Direct Access Gaming (DAG) Grants are awarded to over 6,300 non-profit, community organizations by the BC Provincial Government.   Under the Arts, Culture and Sport sector, BC Soccer qualified for $140k in DAG funding for 2006-2007, and $59k in Western Canada Games Funding for August 2007. 

2006-2007 NTC NATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE FUNDING

Every year the CSA Canadian Soccer Association allots $74k to BC Soccer for the Burnaby West NTC Centre.  The National Training Centre is a structured program for players identified through the scouting system.  The goal is to produce international caliber players for the National Team’s Program.

 

 

2006-2007 SPORTSFUNDER LOTTERY MONEY

The BCLC British Columbia Lottery Corporation is granting $20 Million of SportsFunder money to amateur sports over the next six years, in celebration of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Games.  BC Soccer is proud to receive $67.75k in lottery funding to help youth members traveling to competitions and training camps in the province of BC.

2006-2007 UMBRO PARTNERSHIP

UMBRO is BC Soccer’s official apparel & equipment supplier through our partnership with Paul Dolan.  As a goalkeeper for Team Canada, Paul qualified for the 1985 FIFA World Youth Championship and the 1986 World Cup game against France.  In 1990 and 1991 he helped bring his team to victory in the CSL Championships.  Check out www.umbro.com

2006-2007 TEKK ATHLETIC PARTNERSHIP

2007-2008 GOL TV PARTNERSHIP

GolTV is the newest partner of BC Soccer.  GolTV broadcasts soccer twenty four hours a day, seven days a week, in both English and Spanish.  This means over 1,500 games per year at the international level, including World Cup and Olympic Games.  Visit them and their schedules at www.goltv.tv/en_index.php

2007-2008 HUB INTERNATIONAL TOS LIMITED PARTNERSHIP
