Provincial Teams Program Mission Statement
BC Soccer's ongoing goal is to continue to implement a recognized Provincial Teams Program. This provides High Performance soccer players in British Columbia an opportunity to reach their full potential within the overall British Columbia Soccer Association / Canadian Soccer Association model for player development.
To assist in reaching our goal the British Columbia Soccer Association has created an extensive Program which is based on the following principles for responsible elite development.
Core Principles
- To allow players to further develop their skills in an environment that includes other technically advanced players while playing within a responsible, competitive, and demanding atmosphere.
- To enhance the technical and tactical components of the players make up through extensive on and off field training and education.
- To provide the players with access to certified / experienced and a professional levels of coaching.
- To provide the players specific guidance in the areas of diet and nutrition, mental preparation, physical fitness and post secondary education.
- To provide leadership and information on life skills and promote the importance of commitment to excellence and citizenship.
- To provide a healthy and safe training environment to insure responsible and sustainable development of the player.
