Thank you for visiting the British Columbia Soccer Association’s Official Events home page.  

 

We are pleased to organize and run four major events on an annual basis:

·          Annual General Meeting

·          Semi Annual Meeting

·          Awards Banquet

·          The Soccer Conference (CLICK HERE for more information)

·          Province of Soccer Month / Kickin’ Day of Play (please check back for more information as we are working to develop a specific website for this event)

 

In addition to the standard events we organize on an annual basis, we also have the pleasure of hosting and organizing “special events” such National and International friendlies / tournaments, Soccer Submits / Workshops, and various soccer festivals.

2008 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING- JUNE 7TH

We are pleased to provide the following information for our 2008 Annual General Meeting (AGM). The AGM will be held on Saturday, June 7th at the Executive Plaza Hotel and Conference Centre in Coquitlam405 North Road, Coquitlam.

Registration

Please complete the attached registration form and submit to the BCSA office no later than May 30th.

 

Hospitality Reception

The BCSA Board of Directors welcomes all delegates to the Hospitality Reception, in the Cypress Room on Friday, June 6th, 2008 commencing at 8:30 pm.

 

Check-in

Delegate check-in will be available on Friday evening from 6:00 – 7:00 pm as well as Saturday morning from 8:00 – 8:45 am.

 

Please note: The AGM will commence at 9 am sharp. No registrants will be accepted after 8:45 am.

 

Delegates Luncheon

A complimentary lunch will be provided to all AGM delegates.

 

Voting Delegate

Please provide confirmation of your district/league voting delegate. For your convenience, we have attached a sample accreditation letter. This letter must be received in the BCSA Office no later than May 30th.

 

Votes

The voting numbers will remain unchanged from the 2008 SAGM held in January. If you have any questions regarding the allocated votes please contact Kelly Batke, kellybatke@bcsoccer.net

If you require a hotel room, please contact the hotel directly at 1-888-433-3932 or 604 936-9399 and identify yourself as a participant attending the BC Soccer Association AGM (group #263).

 

 

Please be advised of the following BCSA Bylaws, which pertain to AGM voting procedures:

 

Article 4a)

The accredited voting delegates to the general meeting of the Association shall be the authorized delegate members of each senior league of youth district in active membership in good standing. The names of accredited delegates and alternates must be filed with the association not later than seven (7) days prior to any General Meeting of the association unless approved by a majority of the accredited members at the same General Meeting.
