Provincial Championships

One of BC Soccer’s roles is to organize and implement Provincial Championship competitions for both Youth and Adult players. While winning is never our primary focus, competition and playdowns are thrilling for those involved and have been a long-standing tradition in our Province.  Read the updated Youth Provincial Rules and Regulations and the updated Adult Provincial Cup Rules and Regulations.

Youth Provincial Cup

Between the ages of U13 and U18, teams may qualify for entry into one of three Provincial Championship Competitions, depending on which League or Division they play in.

For the BC Soccer Premier League, teams will challenge for the “Provincial Premier Cup” which is hosted annually in a different community based on a bidding process.

The “Provincial A Cup” is contested by players in Division 1 (or equivalent) and is also held in a community that bids for the right to host.

The Boys Les Sinnott Boys Memorial, and Girls “Provincial B Cup" is for teams all other division of play and rotates to different communities around the province based on a bidding process.

The Premier, Provincial A and B Cups all take place annually between June and late July.

In all cases, playdowns for the respective competitions, occur at different times of the year depending on the region you live in. These playdowns take the form of regional cup competitions, including the Coastal Cup, Island Cup, Northern Cup, Thompson Okanagan Cup, and the Kootenay and Rockies Cup.

BC Soccer's Provincial Cup application process is open for the Les Sinnott Memorial Boys B Cup, Girls Provincial B Cup, and the Provincial A Cup. Although there are minimum standards criteria for hosting these events, Youth Districts and/or their affiliated clubs are encouraged to submit applications as we seek fair representation and rotation to all regions of the province.
