Aimee Kapil Joins BC Soccer as the new Soccer Development Coordinator

 With the hiring of the Soccer Development Coordinator, BC Soccer also amends employee structure to better serve the membership

Vancouver BC, December 24, 2014 – BC Soccer welcomes Aimee Kapil as the new Soccer Development Coordinator and the newest member of the BC Soccer staff.  Aimee comes to BC Soccer from Gymnastics BC where she was the Gymnastics For All Coordinator within their Technical Programming Department.  With the hiring of the new Soccer Development Coordinator BC Soccer has also slightly adjusted staff roles which will help better serve the membership.

“Aimee is a great addition to the BC Soccer team and her previous experience working with Gymnastics BC, another provincial sport organization, will be extremely valuable within her role here at BC Soccer,” said Paul Mullen, BC Soccer Executive Director. “Aimee will be working directly with the entire Soccer Development Department and will be coordinating all coach education program offerings including coaching courses and grassroots workshops.”

Within in the role of Soccer Development Coordinator Aimee will be working directly with:  Rob Csabai, acting Director of Soccer Development and Manager of Soccer Development; Luca Dalla Pace, High Performance Pathway Officer; and Andrew Haines, Grassroots Development Officer.  Her main focus will be to handle all administration duties associated with coach development including supporting coaches and members who use BC Soccer’s online coach registration system (Coach Centre).

Within the Community Development Department, BC soccer is also pleased to announce the promotion of  Lori D’Andrea to the Manager of Member Services position, which comes after three years of hard work and achievements as the Member Service Coordinator.  Further, Dan Turvill is now the Competitions and Discipline Coordinator, a title change that reflects Dan’s commitment and continued success in strengthening the BC Soccer discipline activity within the association.
