Vancouver BC, November 27, 2017 – With more than 80 individuals registered BC Soccer is excited to host their first Technical Director Diploma course focused on supporting individuals who are responsible for providing technical leadership for their soccer organization. The course will be presented by Paul Varian of Capitus Consulting and is aimed at individuals who currently hold a Technical Director position and for those who may be in the capacity to oversee those responsibilities whether full-time, part-time, or as a volunteer. The TD Diploma course is also for those individuals who want to learn the skills to pursue a role as a technical lead in the future.

A familiar face is returning to lead Nelson’s biggest sports organization.
Chuck Bennett has been named president of the Nelson Soccer Association (NSA). Bennett previously served in the role from 2008 to 2015 before leaving to join the B.C. Soccer board of directors.

Vancouver, BC, November 7, 2017 - BC Soccer would like to inform the soccer community of the recent resignation of board director Chuck Bennett. His resignation comes as a result of a need to support his local soccer community, the Nelson Youth Soccer Association. The BC Soccer board fully supports his decision and understands why he must resign his director position with the association. Further, the board thanks Chuck Bennett for his active contribution to support the association as it works to support soccer in BC and met its strategic objectives as outlined in the 2016-2019 Strategic Plan.
