BC Announces Restart Plan

Restrictions eased for soccer

May 25, 2021 – Vancouver

The BC Government announced today its Restart Plan, which includes an easing of restrictions on sport, including soccer. BC Soccer is pleased to see the restrictions softening to allow for more normal type of soccer activity, and linked here is the memo that was provided to all BC Soccer members and affiliated clubs. There is still more clarity that we are seeking from Via Sport, especially as it relates to the definition of “local” and how other Provincial Health Orders may or may not impact the go forward plan. Nevertheless, we are pleased to have contact in training and gameplay occurring again in our sport.

BC Soccer will continue to communicate to its members and clubs as more information is received regarding BC’s Restart Plan.
