BC Soccer Crowns Youth Teams Provincial Champions

22 Teams were also awarded with BC Soccer Team Fair Play Awards

Vancouver BC, July 10, 2016 – BC Soccer’s Provincial A Cup, Les Sinnott Memorial B Cup and the Girls Provincial B Cup concluded this past weekend as 22 youth teams were crowned BC Soccer Provincial Champions. Along with crowning Provincial Champions, BC soccer awarded teams with BC Soccer Team Fair Play awards in each age division. The BC Soccer Fair Play award was presented to teams that showed incredible sportsmanship and fair play throughout the entire competition.

The 2016 BC Soccer Youth Provincial Championships were hosted throughout British Columbia. Burnaby District Youth Soccer Association was the 2016 Youth Provincial A Cup host, North Shore Youth Soccer Association was the 2016 Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup host, and Pinnacles FC (Penticton) were the 2016 Youth Girls Provincial B Cup hosts.

“All of the teams in the 2016 Youth Provincial Championships showed incredible grit and there were some amazing matches played throughout the weekend,” said Don Dancey, BC Soccer Youth Competitions Chair. “All three of the the Local Organizing Committees also did a tremendous job and I can’t thank them enough for making this such a wonderful experience for all of the players involved.”

The BC Soccer Provincial A Cup was hosted by Burnaby District Youth Soccer Association at Burnaby Lake West with matches running from Thursday through until Sunday.  Ten teams were crowned Provincial A Cup Champions with ten more teams being awarded BC Soccer Team Fair Play awards. The BC Soccer Les Sinnott Memorial Boy’s Provincial Cup was hosted by North Shore Youth Soccer Association at Ambleside Park and a few other near by locations.  A total of six boys teams were crowned BC Soccer Provincial Champions along with six boys teams being awarded BC Soccer Team Fair Play awards. The Girl’s Provincial B Cup Championships we hosted by Pinnacles FC in Penticton.   Six teams in total received their gold provincial cup medals and were crowned BC Soccer Provincial Cup Champions.  BC Soccer also awarded six teams with BC Soccer Team Fair Play awards.
