BC Soccer Launches New Youth Provincial Championship Websites

Each of BC Soccer’s four Youth Provincial Championships will now have their own website

Vancouver BC May 23, 2014 –  BC Soccer has launched four new websites for each of the four Youth Provincial championships:  Provincial Premier Cup, Provincial A Cup, Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup, and the Girls Provincial B Cup.

“With the four Youth Provincial Cups taking place in different areas across the province these websites are a great addition to the youth provincial championships as they will make it much easier for players, parents and coaches to find the information that pertains to their competition,” said Don Dancey, BC Soccer Board of Director and Youth Competitions Committee Chair. “These sites will be updated with competition results, schedules, first aid information as well as important information from the host club.”

BC Soccer launched the Adult Provincial Cup site earlier this year and it was tremendously successful at localizing all of the information surrounding both the men’s and women’s provincial cups and BC Soccer looks to replicate that success with the release of the new youth sites.  The sites will have updated game schedules, scores, draws, and information pertaining to the specific competition. Previously the local organizing committee has had to set up the sites themselves and the new Provincial Championship sites created by BC Soccer not only take the onus off of the LOC to develop a  websites but also create a consistent feel amongst all of the Provincial Cups.

“We really believe this will create a tremendous amount of added value to the provincial championships and make it a lot easier for those teams and families traveling to the championships” said Dan Turvill, BC Soccer Competitions Coordinator. “Localizing everything to one site helps alleviate confusion and creates a much easier platform for everyone to get the correct information.”

In 2014 the Provincial Premier Cup is being hosted by Fraser Valley FC with Burnaby Youth District Soccer Association hosting the A Cup.  The Girls B Cup is being hosted by Chilliwack FC and Richmond Soccer Association is the host for the Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup.
