BC Soccer provides new online service for its coaching certification program

Vancouver, BC: Building on the preliminary launch of community course portion of Coach Centre, BC Soccer is pleased to announce the introduction of the Coach Centre as our new online coach management system.

BC Soccer has been working closely with Ottawa  based software company E2E Soccer over the last six months to develop a customized BC Soccer solution of their Coach Centre product, to meet the specific requirements of BC Soccer and our member organizations.

Coach Centre will provide online services to manage BC Soccer's entire coach certification program.  The functionality within Coach Centre includes online requesting of courses, scheduling, registration / tracking, payment process and regular communication with coaches.  Overall it will build upon and improve the service that BC Soccer provides to our members.

The BC coaching community requires professional services that will help to support their ongoing development and BC Soccer will continue to provide this through Coach Centre.  "We are pleased to have been able to design an online system that meets our operational needs,” stated Jason Elligott, BC Soccer’s Director of Community Development. "I am confident that our member coaches using this system will receive a great online service.  In addition the Coach Centre will also provide the necessary administrative function, operation and support to the coaching certification program as a whole.”  The online system is an example of enabling BC Soccer to work towards items identified within the Strategic Plan, including improving operational efficiencies and increasing the number of communications with the participants / members within BC.

Tim Baigent, CEO of E2E Soccer, commented on the agreement with BC Soccer, "We are delighted to expand our role with BC Soccer and its members, to now include their coaching community. I am confident that our unrivalled experience of delivering IT solutions for soccer associations will allow us to provide the BC Soccer coaching community with an IT solution that they can depend upon.

“We’re very pleased to announce the BC Soccer’s Coach Centre, which will support us to continue to deliver courses across BC, improve efficiency and provide us the opportunity to increase ways and frequency we communicate with coaches” said Don Moslin, BC Soccer’s Soccer Development Committee Chair.

BC Soccer started working with E2E Soccer in early 2012 with our launch of the BC specific Ref Centre, an online system to manage BC Soccer's referee procedures, including annual registration, clinic management, match officials’ assignment, assessments and fitness test management.  For more information on this, please see our announcement from March 28, 2012.

E2E Soccer is also working with the Ontario Soccer Association in a similar capacity to offer an Ontario specific version of Coach Centre to assist them in managing their coaching certification program.
