BC Soccer Releases their 2015-2016 Year in Review

Club Charter Program, Delivery of Live Your Goals Festivals and Coach Education highlight a successful year

Vancouver BC, June 16 2016 -  After another successful year of soccer in British Columbia, BC Soccer is pleased to release their 2015-2016 Year in Review.  The creation of the BC Soccer Club Charter Program, delivery of a FIFA Live Your Goals Festival, along with the numerous Grassroots Festivals across the province and Coach Education highlight some of the major successes this past year.

“We are very pleased to be a part of all the very good work being done in all corners of the province and what we have been able to accomplished over the 2015-2016 year,” said Kjeld Brodsgaard, BC Soccer President.  “This year marked the end of the 2012-2015 strategic plan and the association as a whole has worked incredibly hard to accomplish more than 80% of the outlined goals and objectives. The development and introduction of the BC Soccer Club Charter and the successful delivery of a FIFA Live Your Goals Festival for more than 200 young female players and referees were major highlights from this past year and we really look to build upon everything accomplished this past year as we move on and focus on the 2016-2017 year and beyond.”

BC Soccer had some incredible accomplishments both on and off the field in 2015-2016 including the creation of the 2016-2019 Strategic Plan which will be the driving force for BC Soccer for the next three (four fiscal) years and an increase in overall registration.  Below are a few more highlighted successes which were accomplished in the 2015-2016 year:

“The 2015/16 year was an incredibly busy and successful one for soccer in BC and BC Soccer.  We are pleased with everything that was accomplished and look forward to continuing our focused approach to servicing our members and soccer,” said Jason Elligott, BC Soccer Executive Director. “On behalf of BC Soccer, I want to thank the individuals across BC who support and service the game; as soccer wouldn’t be what it is without these dedicated people.”
