BC Soccer Seeks Regional Grassroots Development Tutors for 2013

BC Soccer is the provinces sport governing body responsible for the promotion and development of the game in British Columbia. It is comprised of 150 member Clubs, Districts and Leagues, spanning more than 120,000 registered players with thousands of coaches and other volunteer soccer leaders.

BC Soccer’s Soccer Development department is seeking part time REGIONAL GRASSROOTS DEVELOPMENT TUTORS that will operate under the guiding principles of Professional Leadership, Passionate Service and assist with the delivery of the technical content for its Grassroots Development Service Plan.

This grassroots initiative is aligned with the Canadian Soccer Association’s Long Term Player Development vision, which focuses on providing correct guidelines for training and competition with the goal of encouraging responsible development for our players first and foremost!

The goal of the Grassroots Development Service Plan is to provide BC Soccer’s membership the opportunity to receive technical service and guidance that will include the following:

- Implementation of CSA’s Long Term Player Development Vision
- Access to BC Soccer’s Grassroots Development Curriculum
- Coach Education Programming
- Technical Expertise
- Access to Grassroots Events
