Coastal FC Achieve BC Soccer Club Charter Standard 1!

December 8, 2017 Vancouver BC – BC Soccer is proud to announce that Coastal FC have achieved Standard 1 of the BC Soccer Club Charter Program.


The criteria outlined within BC Soccer's Club Charter Program is based on three top line categories: Technical; Governance; and Administrative.

“We are really excited to announce that Coastal FC has achieved BC Soccer’s Club Charter Standard 1 and I want to thank all of their staff and volunteers who have worked incredibly hard to meet the criteria,” said Kjeld Brodsgaard BC Soccer President. “BC Soccer recognizes that both large and small clubs face various challenges in achieving the Standards in the BC Soccer Club Charter Program, so this is a true testament to all the work they have put in.  We look forward to continuing to work with Coastal FC as they work toward creating the best possible learning environment for players, coaches, and parents, both on and off the field.”

Established in 2012, Coastal Football Club is the result of the amalgamation of Peace Arch Soccer Club, Semiahmoo Soccer Club, and South Fraser Soccer Club. With programs ranging from U2 – Adult Programming as well as being a part of the EA Sports BC Soccer Premier League teams, Coastal FC is one of the largest cradle to grave clubs within British Columbia.   Coastal FC operates out of the South Surrey Athletic Park which has 10 soccer pitches (8 grass and 2 turf) and a warm up-field to help host all of Coastal FC’s players.

Canada Soccer Club License Program & BC Soccer Club Charter Program

Canada Soccer has confirmed to BC Soccer that BC Soccer Club Charter Standard 1 clubs will be positioning accordingly within the new Canada Soccer Club Licensing Program once released. Thus, Canada Soccer wants all BC clubs to become BC Soccer Club Charter Standard 1 club and BC Soccer looks forward to continuing to work with all clubs to achieve the BC Soccer Club Charter 1.
