Governance Committee Requests Bylaw and / or Rule Change Submissions 2015

Attention BC Soccer Membership;

BC Soccer bylaw and/or rule suggested amendments must be presented to the membership a minimum of 30 days prior to the BC Soccer AGM.  Therefore BC Soccer’s Governance Committee must requests to receive any amendment proposal submissions from the membership 45 days prior to the AGM, which is set of June 13, 2015.  

Bylaws and/or Rule proposed amendment submission deadline is April 29, 2015.

In accordance with BC Soccer Bylaw Article 7, Section 1(b) Proposed amendments or additions to the Constitution and Bylaws will only be considered if submitted, in writing, to the Association by an affiliated Senior League/Youth District, or by the Board of Directors of the Association. Notice of Motion of the proposed changes or amendments must by received by the Association at least forty-five (45) days prior to the general meeting. Senior League/Youth Districts in membership shall be circulated with copies of all proposed amendments or changes at least thirty (30) days prior to the General Meeting.

Proposals for changes and/ or amendments to the bylaws and/or rules must include the following:

• Bylaw Article / Rule number and sub numbering (if applicable).
• Current wording of the Bylaw Article / Rule.
• Proposed new specific wording (highlighting specific wording is a minor amendment suggestion).
• A detailed RATIONALE for the addition and/or change including the intent of the addition / change.

Please submit all proposes Bylaw and/or Rule amendment submissions to Jason Elligott in the BC Soccer office.
