Nine Kamloops Youth Teams Involved in Provincial Cup Play This Weekend

KAMLOOPS, BC – Nine Kamloops Youth Soccer Association teams begin play in two levels of Provincial Cup competition starting tomorrow (Thursday, July 4).

Eight Kamloops Blaze squads have qualified for the Provincial A Cup finals for boys and girls being held in Langley. Four KYSA teams will be competing in the girls U13, U14, U15 and U18 divisions, while four boys teams will be going for Gold in the U13, U14, U15 and U16 age groups.

One KYSA team has earned a berth in the Provincial B Cup boys finals, which are now being run under the title of "Les Sinnott Memorial Boys Provincial Cup," in Prince George. The U13 boys team is the lone Kamloops entry.

No KYSA teams qualified for this year's Provincial B Cup girls finals which are being held in North Vancouver.

The Provincial Cup competitions run through to Sunday (July 7th).
