Two BC Soccer Staff Members Promoted within the Community Development Department

Lori D’Andrea promoted to Director of Community Development and Dan Turvill promoted to Manager of Competitions and Discipline

Vancouver BC, September 22, 2015 – BC Soccer’s Community Development Department has been slightly restructured as two BC Soccer staff members have been promoted. With years of dedication and commitment to BC Soccer, Lori D’Andrea has been promoted to Director of Community Development while Dan Turvill has been promoted to Manager of Competitions and Discipline.

“Over the past few years both Lori and Dan have not only shown an incredible commitment to their roles at BC Soccer but they have become very knowledgeable within their respective areas and valuable resources not only for BC Soccer but the membership and wider soccer community, ” said Jason Elligott, BC Soccer Executive Director.  “We are extremely pleased to be able to recognize Lori and Dan and announce their promotions.”

During her four years with BC Soccer Lori D’Andrea has held positions within member services with her most recent position being Manager of Member Service.  She has been directly involved and lead various initiatives that have benefited BC Soccer and the services offered.   She now moves into the Director of Community Development role with a good understanding of the soccer landscape in BC and will work more closely with all service areas within the community development department. 

Dan Turvill has been with BC Soccer for more than seven years working and leading in the areas of competitions and discipline.  He joined BC Soccer as the Competitions Coordinator before expanding to become the Competitions and Discipline Coordinator and now he will continue his career at BC Soccer as the Manager of Competitions and Discipline.
