U13 Intake Festival and League Finals for U13-U17 Will Wrap Up Phase Two of the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League

Coastal FC to host U13 Intake Festival at South Surrey Athletic Park while Surrey United hosts League Cups at Cloverdale Athletic Park on November 16 and 17

Phase two of the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League will conclude on November 16 and 17 with a U13 Intake Festival and U13-U17 League Cup matches.  Coastal FC will be hosting the U13 Festival at South Surrey Athletic Park while the U13-U17 players will converge on Cloverdale Athletic Park with Surrey United as the host.

“The U13 Intake Festival is the perfect way for players, coaches, and parents to wrap up this phase of the BCSPL,” said Michael Findlay, Director of Soccer Development at BC Soccer.

The U13 Jamboree will be hosted by Coastal FC at the South Surrey Athletic Park where all teams and players will enjoy opening ceremonies at 11 a.m. on Saturday November 16.  Following the opening ceremonies each team will play six mini-matches over the two day jamboree. Coinciding with the U13 Festival will be the U13-U17 EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League Cups.

“There are going to be some incredible matches over the two days as the league winners of phase 1 will compete against the league winners of phase 2 for the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League Cup,” said Matt Holbrook, General Manager of the EA SPORTS BC Soccer Premier League.  “This is some of the highest quality youth soccer in the province and we’re excited to see what these young players will bring to the pitch.”

Surrey United is host to the BC Soccer Premier League Cups where the winning team of phase 1 will face off against the winning team of phase 2 of the league.  The Cup is a single game format where, for the first time ever, the winning team will have the opportunity to travel down to Washington State to compete for the inaugural Northwest League Cup.

“We are very excited to be competing for the BCSPL league cup in Surrey this year,” said Alexsander Borojevic, Surrey United U16 Boys Coach. “It’s also a very exciting year as the winning teams will have the opportunity to play some of the top teams from Washington State.”
