13 BC Clubs join TELUS She CAN Coaching Program

Following the success of Year One of the TELUS She CAN Coach program, 54 clubs across Canada will be participating in Year Two of the program, with 13 of those clubs being from British Columbia.'

TELUS She CAN Coach is a program designed to address the challenges women face when it comes to participating in soccer. Through recruiting, developing and training coaches, this nation-wide program aims to keep female coaches interested in coaching soccer.

“We are excited to have 13 BC Soccer member clubs participating in Canada Soccer’s TELUS She CAN Coach program,” said Rob Csabai, Interim Director of Soccer Development at BC Soccer.

“This opportunity provides additional support for women in coaching in our province and aligns with BC Soccer’s coach mentorship initiatives, both of which aim to address the under-representation of women in coaching.”

The 13 British Columbia participating Clubs:

  • Abbotsford Soccer Association
  • Alberni Athletics Soccer Club
  • Coastal FC
  • Coquitlam Metro-Ford Soccer Club
