2023 BC Soccer 'Premier' Cup in Coquitlam

Successful competition held from June 24th and 25th in Coquitlam, BC.

The BC Soccer Provincial Premier Cup Finals held in Coquitlam, BC from June 24th and 25th was a captivating display of soccer by BC’s top youth talented players. The event, hosted by Coquitlam Metro-Ford SC, drew a large crowd of passionate spectators and brought together talented BCSPL teams while providing an exhilarating weekend filled with intense competition. 

The BC Soccer Youth Provincial Premier Cup also serves to determine the four BC Soccer Representatives into the Canada Soccer Toyota National Championships for the U17 and U15 Male and Female divisions. The stakes were high as the teams battled it out, and it all came down to the final games to decide the victors. 

In the U15 Girls final, Coquitlam Metro-Ford displayed their prowess with an impressive 3-0 victory over Mountain United FC, securing their spot in the Nationals. The U15 Boys final was equally intense, with Coquitlam Metro-Ford edging out Fusion FC with a close 3-2 score line, earning them a well-deserved spot in the Toyota National Championships to be held in Waterloo, ON. 

The U17 Girls final witnessed an outstanding performance by Mountain United FC, dominating Van Island Wave with a resounding 3-0 victory. Similarly, the U17 Boys final saw Mountain United FC secure a convincing 5-1 win over Surrey United SC, confirming their spot at the Toyota National Championships to be held in Moncton, NB in October.

Beyond the thrilling matches on the field, the BC Soccer Provincial Premier Cup in Coquitlam highlighted the incredible talent and passion within the soccer community. The tournament provided a platform for young athletes to compete at the highest level of youth competition in BC.
