2023 BCSPL Season Comes to a Close!

The 2023 BC Soccer Premier League comes to a close!

Congratulations to the 13 Clubs, Match Officials, Team Officials and Players for another great season! The BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) is a standards-based development environment for girls and boys aged U13 to U18 and is positioned as the highest level of youth development community soccer within BC.

The 2023 season marks the full return of regular activities for the year-round program

The 2023 BCSPL season fully returned after some disruptions over the last couple of years. The regular season saw clubs entering the pre-season stage at the appropriate time and with the appropriate standards in place. Players focused on getting themselves physically and mentally prepared for the demands of the season. During the competition season, clubs engaged in a thrilling showcase of talent and determination, that continued throughout the year.  The season ends in November with the final standings for Phase 2, which are available by clicking here

"It was tremendous to see the strength amongst all 13 BCSPL clubs in both Male and Female divisions in the U14-U17 age groups. Clubs newer to the BCSPL landscape made some great progress, and the clubs worked collectively on and off the field to provide a platform for development for their players and staff. We look forward to supporting the clubs to build on their 2023 successes, and continue to raise the standards and opportunities for all in 2024!", said Sian Bagshawe, BCSPL Interim GM.

BCSPL clubs have now concluded the 2023 league play as the final weekend of Phase 2 took place on November 18th and 19th. Clubs now enter their off-season as they prepare for 2024 league play in late February 2024. One more match remains on the slate in BCSPL play for 2023, with a rescheduled U17 Boys’ match between Fusion FC and Van Isle Wave, which will take place on Sunday, November 26th.
