BC Soccer Congratulates Kjeld Brødsgaard as Sport BC's President's Award Recipient

Long-serving volunteer of the game in BC recognized as 2022 Presidents Award Winner

Kjeld Brødsgaard's dedication to the Sport in our Province has not gone unnoticed. The Herning, Denmark native is Past President of BC Soccer, a position he held for four years. Previously, Kjeld served on the BC Soccer board of directors for more than ten years, holding key roles such as First Vice President and Vice President Adult.

While on the board, Kjeld actively participated and supported association work through the committee structure sitting on and/or chairing the following committees: Adult Competitions,U18 and Beyond, ED Recruitment, Nominations, Finance, Strategic Plan, and Grassroots Soccer Development.

Prior to his years of service at the provincial level, he contributed greatly to the soccer community on Vancouver Island where he was the Vice President Senior at Gorge Soccer Association for 6 years, the  Vice President Gorge Soccer Association for 8 Years, and a member of Board of Directors of Vancouver Island Soccer League for 16 years, including 8 as Vice President and 5 as President. 

BC Soccer is very happy to share that Kjeld is the recipient of Sport BC’s President’s Award for Soccer (2022), recognizing the spirit of volunteerism through dedication, commitment, and tireless energy given to their sport.

Kjeld and the 40 other recipients will be celebrated during Sport BC’s 55th Athlete of the Year Awards taking place on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
