BC Soccer, Jumpstart and SportsShare partner to Modernize Digital Engagement Across British Columbia
Supported by a strategic investment from Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities, this partnership unites the BC Soccer community through a first-of-its-kind digital hub accessible to every affiliated organization and participant in the province.
VANCOUVER, BC – SportsShare Technologies Inc., the premier platform for sports community engagement, BC Soccer, the provincial governing body for soccer in British Columbia, and Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities (“Jumpstart”), are proud to announce a transformative partnership to provide a centralized, modern home where BC Soccer will congregate, serve and engage with clubs and members throughout the province.
The Heartbeat of the BC Soccer Community
Building on SportsShare’s mission to foster human connection through technology, the new BC Soccer Community Hub on the SportsShare platform will serve as the digital heartbeat for the province. This dynamic space offers a "one-stop shop" for:
- Educational Excellence: Curated resources for SafeSport, leadership development, mentorship, and more.
- Celebrating Impact: A dedicated stage to amplify community success stories and celebrate local role models.
- Data-Informed Growth: Insights that allow BC Soccer to track how resources are consumed to maximize the impact of future soccer initiatives.
- Barrier-Free Access: A modern, accessible communication platform designed to remove obstacles and increase support for all participants.
“At BC Soccer, we are committed to providing a participant-centric structure that is safe, inclusive, and modern” said Gabriel Assis, CEO of BC Soccer. “By moving our community engagement to the SportsShare platform, we are removing the silos that have traditionally fragmented our sport. This is about providing every club and every participant a single destination where they can access high-quality, personalized leadership resources, ensuring we grow the game together across all of BC”.
Central to this launch is the support of Jumpstart. More than a traditional sponsorship, Jumpstart’s involvement represents a strategic investment in digital accessibility. Through this funding, Jumpstart helps removes cost as a barrier to participation, allowing BC Soccer to provide no-cost access to the platform for thousands of coaches, officials, and administrators across its more than 110 affiliated clubs during the program’s initial phase.
“Jumpstart is proud to support this initiative as a strategic investment in the future of community sport,” said Marco Di Buono, President of Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities. “We know that when we remove accessibility barriers, we empower participants to become leaders on and off the field. By investing in this digital hub, we are ensuring that the connections and resources found through soccer are more attainable than ever for families across British Columbia”.
A Legacy Continued: From Sinclair to the Next Generation
This partnership marks another major milestone for SportsShare, following its recent collaboration with Canadian soccer icon Christine Sinclair. As a BC native who grew up playing through the BC Soccer system, Sinclair represents the pinnacle of leadership and community impact. BC Soccer now joins other influential community builders by launching its own dedicated channel on the platform. Importantly, this partnership provides BC Soccer participants with expanded access to the entire SportsShare ecosystem, including Sinclair’s own channel, ensuring the next generation has direct access to the tools and mentorship required to thrive in the modern era.
“The purpose of sport is to build community, and the future of community is digital,” said Alan Schuler, President and CEO of SportsShare. “By partnering with BC Soccer and Jumpstart, we are creating a blueprint for how sports organizations across Canada can use technology to protect, educate and inspire their members within a singular community destination.
