BC Soccer Premier League Kicks off the 2024 season this weekend!

"BC Soccer is looking forward to kicking off the 2024 BCSPL season this weekend. With this being my first season in the role of BCSPL General Manager, it will be great to see all the hard work that players, clubs and their staff have been committing to as they continue to raise their standards, on and off the field." Sian Bagshawe went on to say, "This will be our biggest season to date, with 13 clubs starting in 2024 and 16 clubs participating in Phase 2 which will start in September. The league is a great stepping stone in the development pathway for coaches, players, and referees which will provide them with additional opportunities in standards-based programming."

The 2024 BC Soccer Premier League (BCSPL) season is set to commence this weekend, displaying talent and competition!

For players, the BCSPL offers a platform to showcase their skill, determination, and unwavering dedication on the pitch. With games scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, enthusiasts are encouraged to follow all the action through BC Soccer's website and social media channels.

Not just a showcase of talent, the BCSPL is committed to the development of coaches and referees, who must attain a minimum level of certification to ensure high standards across the league. Ongoing technical support provided by BC Soccer, Canada Soccer, and participating clubs further enriches the developmental environment.

The league's evolution has been significant, with BC Soccer's strategic initiatives driving its growth and refinement. From the establishment of the National Youth Club Licence to the expansion of participating clubs, including the recent addition of the 13th BCSPL Club in September 2022, the league has continually progressed in its mission to serve as the pinnacle of youth development community soccer.

Recognized as the highest level of youth development in the province, the BCSPL serves as a stepping stone to higher-level playing environments, including provincial programs, semi-professional, professional, and national youth programming.

As the 2024 season kicks off, 13 clubs will compete with an additional two clubs entering the league in phase two, bringing the total number of clubs competing to 16. This season promises thrilling matches, emerging talent, and the relentless pursuit of excellence on the field.
