Bylaw Amendments for the BC Soccer 2024 Annual General Meeting Available Now

BC Soccer is pleased to provide further information ahead of the 2024 Annual General Meeting scheduled for Saturday, November 2nd, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Delta Hotels by Marriott Burnaby Conference Centre located at 4331 Dominion Street, Burnaby, BC, V5G 1C7.

In Memoriam: Please submit names of individuals from our collective soccer community who have passed away in the last 12 months for inclusion in the “In Memoriam” portion of the AGM. Please submit by September 30th,  2024 via this form. 

AGM Member Registration: Registration is now open for the AGM. 

  • The deadline for AGM Voting Delegate Member registration, and all Associate and Life Members is October 26th, 2024. 
  • BC Soccer bylaw 5.11 allows for written proxies from one Voting Delegate Member to another Voting Delegate Member within the same Active Member Organization. Any proxies must be completed and submitted by October 26th, 2024. Please click here to fill out the Proxy Form. 

Election of Officers: A list of candidates will be distributed on September 20th, 2024.

The following Board positions are available for elections:

  • President (2-year term)
  • Vice-President (3-year term)
  • Two Directors at Large (3-year terms)

Accommodation: BC Soccer has secured a guaranteed room rate of $209 (Standard Double) plus applicable taxes. BC Soccer will cover the cost for accommodation on Friday and Saturday for one Voting Delegate Member from each Active Member.

Transportation: All delegates are responsible for their own transportation to and from the hotel and associated costs. 

Awards Dinner: BC Soccer will cover the cost for one Voting Delegate Member and a guest from each Active Member and each attending Life Member and a guest. Extra tickets can be purchased at $85 per person by each Active Member. Members will be emailed the access code. Tickets must be secured by October 22nd

Program of Events: As part of the ongoing support to the members, BC Soccer is pleased to have workshops included as part of the AGM weekend activities per the schedule as outlined below. The confirmed workshop topics being cover include Safe Sport and Discipline, Player/Coach/Referee Development (Technical Leads), and Club best DEI practices. 

In our efforts to help share information with the affiliated clubs, each affiliated club will be able to have one representative attend each workshop. To register for the 2024 Workshops, please click here.
