Canada Soccer expands Soccer in Schools Grant to British Columbia

Canada Soccer has expanded its Soccer in Schools program to British Columbia and will offer organizations funding to support the delivery of the program to more than 150 schools across the province. Applications for the Soccer in Schools program are now open and can be found by clicking here.

In the first year of the program, Canada Soccer has already supported grant funding to organizations across Saskatchewan and Ontario. With the addition of British Columbia, Canada Soccer will direct funding to Canadian organizations in the Soccer in Schools program through the Government of Canada’s Community Sport for All initiative and the support of the Ministry of Sport and Physical Activity. In all, Canada Soccer will direct $1.2 million in funding for programs like Soccer in Schools, Free Kicks – Try It Events, and IDEA learning for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity and Accessibility.

Community clubs in British Columbia are invited to apply to the Soccer in Schools program before Tuesday, April 30th, 2024. The organization must be a member of BC Soccer and they must be a Canada Soccer Club Licence holder (or in the process of obtaining their Club Licence)
