Canada Soccer Issues Request for Information for National Training Centre Initiative

Canada Soccer has launched today a Request for Information (RFI) inviting municipalities, provincial and territorial soccer associations, postsecondary institutions, and other stakeholders to express initial interest in hosting or partnering on a future National Training Centre (NTC) dedicated to high-performance soccer.

“The National Training Centre is conceived as a transformative project for Canadian soccer and sport in our country. As part of our initial work on this project, we are launching an open process to identify potential partners and host locations.”

- Peter Augruso, President and Board Chair at Canada Soccer

The NTC is being explored as a cornerstone legacy project of Canada’s role in hosting the FIFA World Cup 2026. It would create a national home for Canadian soccer and strengthen Canada’s sporting infrastructure.

“We look forward to collaborating with partners who share our vision for excellence, inclusion, and innovation.”

- Kevin Blue, CEO and General Secretary at Canada Soccer

The RFI is the first step in identifying potentially suitable locations and strategic partners for the development of a world-class training environment for Canada. The RFI can be viewed here. Interested respondents should make their submissions to NTC@canadasoccer.com by February 12, 2026 (11:59 PM EST). All submissions will be treated confidentially.
