Prioritizing travel and tournaments within British Columbia or Canada

Each year, BC Soccer approves over 100 tournaments and events across British Columbia. These events create valuable opportunities for the soccer community to compete and engage with clubs outside their local areas. As we respond to recent measures that could negatively affect soccer organizations and the overall soccer experience for participants attending events outside of Canada, BC Soccer encourages all clubs in British Columbia to prioritize travel and tournaments within British Columbia or Canada for the foreseeable future. A list of all sanctioned tournaments in British Columbia can be found here.

Provincial organizations across Canada also list their approved tournaments and events on their websites. For your convenience, links to the available pages is listed below:

While participating in tournaments is ultimately at the discretion of individuals and their affiliated clubs, we urge participants to consider domestic events. If travelling abroad, adherence to the current travel guidelines established by the Government of Canada must be observed. Guidelines can be found here.

By prioritizing domestic tournaments and events, clubs can support local soccer organizations and provide more resources towards activities hosted in Canada. Engaging in domestic tournaments not only strengthens competition within Canadian events but also contributes to the growth and development of soccer across the country.
