Supporting the Year 2 of Canada Soccer’s AccelerateHER Program

Advancing Women in Coaching Through the All-Women CONCACAF B Diploma

BC Soccer is proud to support the second year of Canada Soccer’s AccelerateHER program, a national initiative committed to advancing gender equity in coaching. Following a successful first year, the 2025 edition of the program delivers a fully funded, all-women CONCACAF B Diploma, empowering 36 female coaches across Canada to further their development within a supportive, high-performance environment.

The AccelerateHER CONCACAF B Diploma offers participants a 12-month, 134-hour coaching course delivered in both of Canada’s official languages. This holistic program includes in-person learning, online coursework, practical coaching assignments, and ongoing mentorship, all backed by a $500 travel bursary to help reduce financial barriers. Coaches currently in the application pool for the general mixed delivery B Diploma will have the option to transfer their application to the AccelerateHER stream.

Applications are now open and will remain open until May 30, 2025. For more information on eligibility requirements and the application process, please visit the program webpage.

BC Soccer fully aligns with Canada Soccer’s vision for a more inclusive, diverse, and equitable soccer community. This commitment reflects BC Soccer’s core values of development, inclusivity, and integrity, and supports our mission to lead the growth and development of soccer in British Columbia.

With Canada’s new professional women’s league, Northern Super League, and an increased emphasis on standards-based coaching through the Canada Soccer Player Development Program (PDP), opportunities for women in coaching are growing rapidly. AccelerateHER plays a key role in ensuring that women are ready and supported to step into those opportunities with confidence and competency.

We encourage all eligible female coaches in BC to explore this opportunity and help us continue to raise the bar for coaching excellence in our province.
